Master the Mind - Episode 28
Enquire the Highest Truth from the guru
In the twenty-eighth discourse of the Master the Mind series, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai advocates reinvigorating the bhāratīya legacy at its roots by addressing the delivery of youth education. Expounding on spiritual thoughts from the upaniṣads, Sadguru prescribes vedānta as the panacea for all ills plaguing society today. By re-adopting our ancient gurukula mode of instruction with its guru–śiṣya paramparā, we can overhaul our present day education system through a synthesis of scientific and spiritual enquiry. The role of the guru (as āścaryo vaktā) and the śiṣya (as kuśalo’sya labdhā) are equally critical for the success of the gurukula system. For the emancipation of all human beings and the well-being of the future generations, it is essential that dharma is re-established and that everyone leads their life as per the diktats of āśrama dharma. Only these can save the world and lay the foundation for harmonised living in society that will lead to the experience of ātmajñāna or brahmajñāna.
