The īśāvāsya upanishad, also known as the īśā upaniṣador īśopaniṣad, is one of the principal Upanishads ofHinduism. It is part of the Yajurveda and consists of18 verses.The very opening verse offers the solution to all the socialand spiritual crises that humanity is facing today:ॐ ईशा वास्यमिदंं सर्वंं यत्किञ्च जगत्यांं जगत् ।तेेन त्यक्तेेन भुुञ्जीथा मा गृृधः कस्यस्विद्धनम् ।।“All this − whatever exists in this changing universe − iscovered by the Lord. Protect the Self by renunciation. Lustnot after any man’s wealth.”
